In a 2012 study, 52% of Americans that were polled believed doing their taxes was easier than figuring out how to eat healthy. Parents want their child to live a healthy, happy long life. What if I told you I could help prevent your child from pain, disease and other potential problems later in life simply by changing their relationship to food? If you agree that setting your child up for the very best life, I hope you’ll consider the positive impact changing eating habits can have.
“The food you eat can be either the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison.” – Ann Wigmore
Interesting things to consider:
Have you heard of the Gut-Brain connection? Scientists and Doctors have been studying this for years. This connection is a real thing. So when we feed our bodies and our kids’ bodies things that aren’t nourishing real food – what is it doing for their developing brain?
Why is food not important to most people? We as a society don’t give our food the time it needs in our lives and because we are torn in so many other directions – it’s an easy thing to speed through. We hurry through meals running to the next thing in our crazy lives. We get meals “over with” instead of savoring time conversing at the table. Teaching tomorrow’s generation how to develop a real relationship with food is something that will drastically change our future for the better.
Is there such a thing as too much sugar? In 2016, the American Heart Association released this infographic. The US is not the only country with sugar addicted and junk food obsessed kids. This is an interesting read from the World Health Organization stating that noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) were the leading causes of death and were responsible for 38 million (68%) of the world’s 56 million deaths in 2012. Modifiable risk factors such as poor diet and physical inactivity are some of the most common causes of NCDs; they are also risk factors for obesity which is rapidly increasing globally.
Think about a typical day in the life of your child. Is your child worth the best education, the best clothes, the best possible future – then aren’t they worth the best food too? Are you ready to say no to a sugar heavy mostly processed food diet that’s adding to preventible diseases like obesity, type 2 diabetes and more? If so, I’m happy to help your family transform your lives with a healthy shift in their relationship to food.
